The most successful flat training yard in the country! That is trainer Tom Dascombe’s ambition for Manor House Stables and having recently completed a veterinary centre and equine swimming pool, the facilities at Michael Owen and Andrew Black’s state-of-the-art establishment now rank among the best in the country.

On the racecourse, Manor House Stables had a fantastic 2011. Superstars Brown Panther and Rhythm Of Light gave Tom Dascombe his first Royal Ascot winners on consecutive days of the 2011 meeting. Brown Panther since went on to finish 2nd in the final classic of the season, the Doncaster Ladbrokes St Leger, and is now widely recognised as the stable’s flag bearer. He stays in training as a four-year-old and will embark on a campaign which is expected to see him end the season in either the Melbourne Cup or at the Breeders’ Cup meeting.

The MHS 2012 Olympic Partnership is a partnership comprising four two-year-old horses and ten partners. These four two-year-olds have been bought as yearlings by Tom Dascombe and bloodstock agent Ed Sackville and are expected to be fast, early types who will give their owners lots of fun and trips to the races throughout the season. Manor House Stables also has its own racing club, the Manor House Racing Club, which costs just £100 to join and £40 per month subscription. The club offers its members year round days at the races, owners badges whenever the club’s horses run, regular stable visits to Manor House Stables and an equal share of all prize money won by the club.
